This was my fourth time in Davao City, but I have never been to Talicud Island and Hagimit Falls.
Thanks to PLAI Congress 2016, I was able to set foot again in this safest city in the country. So upon putting down my backpack, I head out to Talicud Island and Hagimit Falls.
How to go there:
1. From your airport or hotel, you may take a taxi (because taxi drivers are honest in Davao), then ask to be dropped at the Sta. Ana Wharf. In Sta. Ana Wharf, you will find ferries that will take you to Talicud Island. Schedule is at 9.30 in the morning and 12.30 in the afternoon. Fare is P80.00
2. Take off at Isla Reta. Entrance fee is P100.00 but it was worth it because the sea has clear waters and shore has white sand. You can also stay overnight at Isla Reta. Cottages are available.

3. From Isla Reta, you can cross to Kaputian Beach in Samal Island thru chartered boat or by public boat. Since, there were five of us, we chartered a boat for P300.00. Kaputian beach does not lie with its name. It was really really white! You'll be amazed!

4. From Kaputian beach, we took habal habal to Hagimit Falls. The boatman got us two habal habal where we paid P80.00 each. It was a bit far from Kaputian to Hagimit, about 17kms. Good thing the driver was very friendly and answered our curious questions while driving. We got soaked while going to Hagimit Falls because the rain wanted to welcome us there! By the way, there was a P40.00 entrance fee to the falls.
Soaked and cold, we made it to the falls!
